Quaid-i-Azam University China Scholarship Established 2017

The ambassador of China said that this is the first kind of scholarship program, which is offered by the Chinese embassy to the students of Pakistan and ten students will be selected to get further education from the Chinese universities at the MPhil degree program level and they will get the amount of Rs.150,000 on need and merit basis.

He further added that the main objective of this scholarship program to give the help to the deserving students financially and meet their expenses, which are incurred on their education. The students will complete their education and they will also contribute in the socio economic development of the country.

He also shared his expression about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and said that it has elevated the friendship to the new height. He further added that this friendship entered into the new stage of ground development in the shape of CPEC and 17 big projects are being initiated across the country and they will bring new socio economic change and development in the country and also provide various new opportunities and complete the dreams of the skilled and education youth. Dr Ashraf thanked the Ambassador of China for starting the ambassador scholarship program and selecting Quaid-e-Azam University for the start of this program and also appreciated his contribution and commitment to achieve this target.

 

The Chinese embassy in Pakistan has started the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship program, which is started at the Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad. This unique scholarship program will help the students to carry on their education and help the socially and financially deprived students, so that they can complete their education and contribute in the socio economic development of the country.

The Chinese ambassador, Sun Weidong inaugurated the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship program for undergraduate students of the School of Politics and international Relations (SPIR) at Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad. The agreement of the scholarship program was signed by the Vice Chancellor of Quaid-e-Azam University, Dr Javed Ashraf and the Chinese ambassador, Sun Weidong. The Chinese ambassador provided the funds for the start of this scholarship program for the talented and deserving students by offering the cheque worth $29,500.

The huge number of students and the senior faculty members attended this scholarship ceremony. The director of SPIR, Dr Ishtiaq Ahmed welcomed the ambassador of China and briefed him about the department and the Dean Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr Syed Waqar Ali Shah attended the scholarship program signing ceremony.
